Terry Folk has extensive experience in the field of safety and health. Terry began their career in 1972 as a Fire and Safety Inspection Specialist at Bechtel Corporation's Nuclear Division, where they conducted inspections and was part of the emergency response team. From 1977 to 1984, they served as the Corporate Safety Manager at The Lathrop Company, overseeing the safety and health of employees on various projects in Ohio and Tennessee. At the Ohio Department of Transportation, they worked as a District Safety Supervisor from 1984 to 1986, managing safety operations for multiple garages and subcontract work on state highways. From 1986 to 1989, they worked at Hoellrich and Associates as an Asbestos Removal and Reconstruction Specialist, coordinating the removal of asbestos in public buildings. From 1989 to 2000, they held the role of Senior Enforcement/Compliance Officer at the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, where they enforced safety regulations and evaluated safety programs. Terry then became the President/Owner of Green Star Safety, LLC from 2000 to 2005, providing safety and health services in the Tri-State region. Currently, they work as the Corporate Safety Director at E.S.Wagner Co., where they are responsible for developing and implementing strategies for a safe work environment and conducting employee and management training.

Terry Folk attended Tiffin University from 1972 to 1973, where they studied Business Administration. They later pursued a degree in Safety Management Technology at Terra State Community College and completed OSHA Programs and Instructor training at Eastern Michigan University. In terms of additional certifications, Terry obtained an OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer certification from the U.S. Department of Labor in March 2017 and became a Certified Railroad Trainer through Norfolk Southern Railroad in October 2016. They also hold various certifications in areas such as electrical safety, fall protection, general industry inspection, and more, provided by institutions like the U.S. Department of Labor - OSHA, Mine Safety and Health Administration, and National Association of Safety Professionals.
