Steve Catanach is an experienced executive consultant currently working at E Source since May 2021. Previously, Catanach served as the Director of Climate Initiatives and the Electric Utility Development Director for the City of Boulder from April 2018 to September 2021, where responsibilities included the establishment of Boulder's new municipal electric utility. Prior to this, Catanach was the President of Catanach & Associates from September 2015 to April 2018 and held the position of Vice President of Solutions Delivery at Spirae from January 2015 to September 2015. Catanach's earlier experience includes serving as the Light & Power Manager for the City of Fort Collins from May 2008 to January 2015 and as the Customer Service & Development Leader for Arizona Public Service from July 2000 to May 2008. Catanach earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University between 1980 and 1985.
