Kirk S. Thompson

Kirk S. Thompson is an experienced Project Manager specializing in natural gas projects, currently serving as Project Manager III at E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. since October 2018. In this role, Kirk applies mechanical engineering principles to oversee projects for San Diego Gas and Electric Company, including pipelines and compressor stations. Previously, Kirk held the position of Sr. Project Manager at Cordoba Corporation, managing pipeline replacement and hydrotest projects for SoCalGas. Earlier experience includes working as a Project Manager/Engineer at Williams Company, where Kirk led the design and construction of facilities for large diameter natural gas transmission pipelines. Kirk began the career as a CDL Driver and Heavy Equipment Operator at Lyndon Jones Construction and acquired foundational skills as an Engineering Intern. Kirk holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah and an AS in Mechanical Engineering from Salt Lake Community College.
