Martin Tobias

Martin Tobias has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Martin is currently the Managing Partner at Incisive Ventures since July 2020. Prior to that, they co-founded People For Cause - ReTree in 2016. Martin also founded Element 8 Angels in 2006, the first angel group in the US to focus on clean tech and sustainability. Martin Tobias has been the Founder and Manager of MGT Investments LLC since 1996, serving as an investment holding company and occasional developer. From 2017 to 2020, they held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Upgrade Labs, Inc. Martin Tobias has also served on the Board of Directors for Cloudmark, Inc. from 2000 to 2015, leading the analysis of the anti-spam market. Martin was the CEO of Tippr from 2009 to 2013, a leading technology provider of group buying and social commerce infrastructure. From 2008 to 2013, they were the CEO and Founder of Kashless, Inc., focusing on local marketplace software solutions. Martin Tobias worked as a Venture Partner at IGNITION PARTNERS from 2002 to 2010. Additionally, they served as Chairman and CEO of Imperium Renewables, Inc. from 2005 to 2008, raising significant financing for renewable fuel projects.

Martin Tobias earned a Master of Science degree in Technology from Oregon State University, completing their studies from 1986 to 1990. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the same institution, although the specific dates of their enrollment and completion are currently unknown.
