Stefan Karnavas, MBA has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Stefan began their career at Fidelity Bank / Fidelcor Capital Corp as an Investment Officer from 1986 to 1990. Stefan then joined Horizon Cellular as Treasurer and Director of Corporate Development from 1990 to 1996. Following that, they worked at Cobblestone Golf Group as CFO, overseeing financial activities and managing a team of 35 employees from 1996 to 1999.
From 1999 to 2009, Stefan served as the Treasurer, VP Finance, and Consultant at Leap Wireless, where they demonstrated success in external capital raising and internal financial operations. During their tenure, they raised over $5 billion in total capital and led a team in reducing annual operating costs by $140 million or nearly 20% of the cost structure through corporate restructuring.
In 2009, they became the Chief Financial Officer at Semtek Corporation, a global leader in card payment security technology. There, they managed the company's financial activities and played a crucial role in generating nearly $10 million in annual revenue with 55 employees.
From 2010 to 2014, Stefan was the Chief Financial Officer at SKLZ, where they were brought in by the CEO/owner to develop and execute a multi-year operating plan and financing strategy. During their tenure, they successfully completed a $40 million round of private equity, more than doubled revenue, and quadrupled the company's valuation. Stefan also revamped budgeting and forecasting processes and introduced long-term financial modeling into the strategic planning process.
Currently, they hold the position of President at Eurofins | EAG Laboratories since January 2019. Prior to that, they served as the company's Chief Financial Officer from June 2015 to December 2018.
