Lupita Fuentes, a Board Trustee of Eagle Pass Independent School District, has served on the School Board since May 2003. Ms. Fuentes is also the Maverick County and Kinney County Director of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). She has been employed with “United Medical Centers” for 33 years. Ms. Fuentes, received her Vocational Nurses license in 1982. Ms. Fuentes’ commitment and service to the community is reflected by her extensive resume to include: Past Secretary and current Chairperson of the Maverick County Appraisal District, Member of the American Cancer Society; Co-Chair of Relay for Life for 3 consecutive years; Served as a Delegate of The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB); Member of the Texas Association of Local WIC Directors (TALWD); Texas WIC Program Region 8 Representative and Member of the National WIC Association (NWA). Ms. Fuentes is also a proud member of “TEAM of 8”, and is a strong advocate for the children and employees of the District following the same motto and stance since her induction to the board in 2003 - “Excellence in Education!”
