Ronald M. Lustig

Ron Lustig joined ESa in 1976, after earning a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (with honors). In his role as Principal and Senior Designer, Ron primarily provides design services for hospitality / entertainment venues and corporate offices, but his experience is very diverse—ranging from the design and master planning of a variety of educational, healthcare, senior living and retail projects. Ron is committed to doing whatever needs to be done to move ESa and the design towards the future, asking the questions “what, when, why and how?”

Originally from Nashville, Ron has helped design some of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, including the AT&T Tower and multiple phases of the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. His portfolio includes many of the firm’s other large-scale hospitality and corporate office projects, including the Hutton Hotel and The Gulch Master Plan. Ron worked with the United Nations in Managua, Nicaragua, designing working drawings and providing construction supervision for various rural community centers.

Well versed in designing flexible work spaces and destination venues, Ron’s personal design philosophy is to make a positive impact on people’s lives through design excellence. Ron believes exceptional client service is demonstrated when we are “asked to do the next job and have exceeded client’s expectations.”

Ron’s travel, reading and life experiences impact his professional development, and he is frequently called upon to provide commentary for architectural and interior design articles in key industry publications. Ron is actively involved as a Board Member of the Nashville Civic Design Center, and has served as Past President of AIA Middle Tennessee and Past Chairman of ISHC. When away from the office, you will likely find Ron fly fishing, road biking or volunteering as a Boy Scouts of Middle Tennessee Board Member.
