David Wright is a Senior Computational Biologist at the Earlham Institute, where involvement spans various evolutionary genomics projects, including alternative splicing, adaptation, selection, long non-coding RNAs, and a focus on long read sequencing. Formerly served as a Senior Research Associate at the University of East Anglia, contributing to molecular ecology projects related to several bird species and conservation genetics. Previous roles include Laboratory Technician at RSPB, conducting field research on ground-nesting wading birds, and a PhD candidate at the University of East Anglia, focusing on the evolutionary genetics of the Seychelles warbler. David Wright earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Ecology from the University of East Anglia and a BSc in Zoology with Conservation from Bangor University.
