Rebecca Hand has extensive experience in the field of early childhood education and development. Rebecca has held various positions in both governmental and non-governmental organizations. Their most recent role was as an Apiary Fellow at The Front Project, where they started in April 2023. Prior to that, they were a member of the Research in Effective Education Advisory Board at the University of Melbourne, starting in February 2023. From 2022, they served as the Executive Director of Early Childhood Education at Early Childhood Management Services (ECMS). Rebecca also held leadership positions at Early Childhood Australia, the Child Care and Kindergarten Association Queensland, and the Department of Education. Their experience in the field dates back to 2002, when they became the Child Care and Service Quality Manager at the Department of Families.
Rebecca Hand earned a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from de Lissa Institute University of South Australia. Rebecca studied at the institute from 1984 to 1987.
