Daniel Maynard has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and industries. Daniel started their career at Bank of America as an Operations Analyst in 2004 before moving on to Bear Stearns as a Trading Analyst. At Bear Stearns, they managed loan purchases and residential mortgage backed security transactions. In 2009, they joined Thomson Reuters as a Legal Associate before becoming a Research Assistant at William Mitchell College of Law in 2008.
In 2010, Daniel joined Target Corporation and became a Senior Analyst in Privacy, where they were a founding member of Target's enterprise privacy team. Daniel played a key role in building the company's privacy program and provided consultancy on various cutting-edge projects. Daniel also served as a Guest Insight Reporting Analyst at Target.com.
In 2014, they joined Land O'Lakes, Inc. as a Privacy Program Manager, where they served as the primary privacy subject matter expert and attorney, advising on compliance with privacy laws and regulations in the U.S. and internationally.
In 2015, Daniel joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis as an Assistant Vice President, Privacy Officer & Deputy System Data Privacy Coordinator. Daniel played a crucial role in creating and delivering strategic initiatives across all Reserve Banks, resulting in a cohesive and validated data privacy program adopted nationwide. Daniel also designed and implemented the first comprehensive data privacy program for the Federal Reserve System.
In 2020, Daniel worked as a Compliance, Risk, & Operations Counsel in a self-employed capacity before joining Early Warning® as the VP, Chief Privacy Officer and later as the VP, Privacy and Data Risk Management, Chief Privacy Officer.
Daniel Maynard attended Purdue University from 2000 to 2004, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Management with a focus on Finance and Accounting. Daniel then went on to study at Mitchell Hamline School of Law from 2007 to 2010, obtaining a Juris Doctor degree.
