Haim Shani

Haim Shani is Co-founder and General Partner of Israel Growth Partners, the recently established largest tech focused growth equity fund in Israel.

In 2012 Haim retired from the Ministry of Finance where he served as Director General (2009-2011) and the Head of the Competitiveness Committee. Prior to that, he served as CEO of NICE Systems (NASDAQ: NICE). As CEO, he led the company’s business from $100m in revenues to $700m and oversaw value growth from $100m to $2.5b. Haim came to NICE from Applied Materials (Israel), where he served as VP of its Israeli business (Ex Opal/Orbot) for a period of three years. From 1992 to 1998, he held various management positions at Orbotech Ltd. as Corporate Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, President of Orbotech’s Asia Pacific subsidiary and President of Orbotech Europe. Prior to that, Haim held various management positions at Scitex Corporation and IBM Israel. Haim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, and an MBA from INSEAD, France. In 2006 Haim was selected Top High Tech CEO in the large corporations’ category by the Israel Management Institute, and in 2008 was named one of the top 10 CEOs in Israel by Dun & Bradstreet. Haim is currently serving as Chairman of the UK Israel Tech Hub, a board member at Strauss Water, R2Net, GreenRoad, ColorChip, Jacada and Earnix and a member of the Advisory Committee, Supervisor of Banks, Bank of Israel.
