Michelle Scan

Michelle Scan is the current Chief People Officer at EarnUp. Michelle has held this position since January 2018. Prior to that, they were the Vice President, People at HelloSign from January 2018 to December 2020. Before that, they were the Head of People & Culture at Jiff, Inc. (acquired by Castlight Health) from January 2016 to December 2017.

Scan began their career in human resources at Accela in January 2010, where they served as the Vice President, Human Resources and People Development until December 2016. Michelle then worked as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Broadcom Inc. from January 2008 to December 2010. In this role, they were responsible for HR business partnering for a global team of 1200+ employees.

From January 2002 to December 2008, Scan was a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Sandia National Laboratories. In this role, they led HR strategy and implemented initiatives for a workforce of over 1000 people across the BioEnergy and Computing Sciences Divisions. Michelle also managed Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Workforce Planning, Succession & Talent Management, Performance, Compensation, Employee Relations, and Policy initiatives.

Michelle Scan holds a BA in English from UC Santa Barbara and an MBA in Human Resources from Golden Gate University. Michelle is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
