Dave Grossman

CCO at Earplay

Dave Grossman is the current Chief Creative Officer at Earplay, a position they have held since August 2014. Prior to joining Earplay, Dave was a senior editor and head writer at Telltale Games from May 2005 to August 2014. There, Dave was responsible for scriptwriting, editing, and onboarding/mentoring other writers in the newly-formed dedicated writing department. Dave is considered a genius when it comes to the intersection of narrative and interactivity.

Before Telltale Games, Dave was with Phrenopolis from January 1994 to December 2006 as a writer, game designer, and consultant. Dave provided freelance writing and design for computer games, toys, and other interactive media. Dave was also opinionated when it came to reviewing game designs and provided other game-related consulting services as needed. Some of the original titles/projects Dave worked on include Pajama Sam, Freddi Fish, Moop & Dreadly, Total Annihilation, Voodoo Vince, Kasey the Kinderbot, Insecticide, and many others. Dave also worked on licensed titles such as Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, SpongeBob SquarePants, Fairly OddParents, Scooby Doo, and again many others.

Dave's career began in January 1989 when they joined LucasArts as a designer, writer, and project leader. Dave remained with the company until December 1994. During their time at LucasArts, Dave worked on some of the most iconic video games of all time including the Monkey Island series and Day of the Tentacle.

Dave Grossman attended the University of California, Berkeley where they received a BS in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science.
