Geoff Staneff has extensive experience in product management and leadership roles. Geoff is currently the Vice President of Product and Systems at Earth Force Technologies since 2022. Previously, they founded a clean-tech startup called Ghost Carbon in 2021, where they focused on carbon removal and sequestration research. Geoff also worked at Microsoft as a Lead Principal Product Manager from 2020 to 2022, bringing Azure capabilities to the Industrial Internet of Things. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Product at Bird, a micro-mobility solution company, from 2019 to 2020. Geoff also had a long tenure at Microsoft, starting as a Software Development Engineer In Test in 2005 and progressing to roles such as Principal Product Manager and leading GDPR compliance efforts for a $1.3B business. Geoff has a strong background in testing systems, automation, and agile development.
Geoff Staneff completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering from the University of Washington in 1998. Geoff pursued further education and obtained their Ph.D. in Materials Science from Caltech in 2005. In addition to their academic qualifications, Geoff obtained the certification of Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance in April 2013.
