Cecilia Mejia is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in program management and environmental advocacy. Currently serving as a Program Advisor at Earth Island Institute since October 2023, Cecilia provides guidance and support for a diverse portfolio of projects while ensuring compliance with nonprofit regulations. Prior roles include Program Manager and Program Coordinator at Brightline Defense, where management of concurrent programs focused on empowering disadvantaged communities and spearheading grant-writing efforts occurred. Cecilia has a background in coordinating student staff at the University of California, Berkeley, alongside experience in research on single-use plastics. Key contributions also include leading environmental initiatives and workshops, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and community engagement, supported by a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources and Conservation from UC Berkeley.
