Sumona Majumdar

Sumona Majumdar is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Earth Island Institute, an international environmental organization. Sumona also serves as the General Counsel & Director of Earth Island Advocates. Prior to their role at Earth Island Institute, Sumona worked as a Trial Attorney in the Environmental Enforcement Section at the U.S. Department of Justice. Sumona has a Doctor of Law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Behavior from the University of Michigan.
