Frank D'Agnese

Frank D'Agnese has extensive work experience in the field of Earth Knowledge. Frank served as President, CTO, and Co-Founder at Earth Knowledge (EK) from 2003. In this role, they were responsible for business development, program management, product management, and technology development for the EK Platform. The platform was designed to provide easy access to relevant multimedia world information for corporate and research enterprises.

Additionally, Frank D'Agnese was the Co-Director of Earth Knowledge Portal and Virtual Globe, where they co-designed and supervised the development of a public website that integrated earth and environmental information. Frank also built content partnerships with various organizations and implemented semantic indexing of multimedia content to map it to Google Earth Virtual Globe. Frank held this role from 2008 to 2013.

Prior to their work at Earth Knowledge, Frank D'Agnese worked at the U.S. Geological Survey as a Principal Investigator and Program Manager. Frank held this position from 1988 to 2003.

Frank D'Agnese has a strong educational background in the field of geological engineering. Frank obtained their High School Diploma from Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, NJ in 1985, after completing a college preparatory program. Following their high school graduation, Frank attended the Colorado School of Mines, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering and Environmental Science from 1985 to 1989, graduating with high scholastic honors. Frank furthered their education at the same institution, completing a Masters of Engineering degree in Geological Engineering from 1989 to 1991. Frank's academic journey culminated with the completion of a Ph.D. in Geological Engineering and Information Management from the Colorado School of Mines, which they earned between 1991 and 1994.
