Disasters Lifecycle Cluster Co-chair at Earth Science Information Partners

Karen Moe has extensive experience in Earth science and information systems, serving as the Disasters Lifecycle Cluster co-Chair at the Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP) since January 2015. Having an ongoing affiliation with NASA since 2000, Karen Moe held the position of NASA Goddard Emeritus (Retired) and was actively involved in promoting Earth observational data. As a Technology Program Manager, Karen Moe focused on advancing information systems technology for NASA's Earth science programs and chaired the Earth Science Data Systems technology infusion working group. Additionally, as a member of the ESIP Federation since 2000, Karen Moe has contributed expertise in collaboration with the All Hazards Consortium to develop Operational Readiness Levels (ORLs). Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of South Florida and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
