EARTH SYSTEMS
Ryan McCoy is a skilled geotechnical engineer with considerable experience in the field. Currently employed at EARTH SYSTEMS since January 2023, Ryan focuses on the observation and inspection of earthwork, soil density, moisture testing, and driven piles, along with piers and caissons drilling and placement. Prior to this role, Ryan served as a staff geotechnical engineer at ENGEO from October 2018 to December 2022, where responsibilities included performing geotechnical investigations, writing reports, conducting slope stability analysis, and managing earthwork tracking. Ryan's career began with a research assistant position at the Institute of Northern Engineering, University of Alaska Fairbanks, and includes experience as a buyer at Pacific Contours Corp and a logistics coordinator at LISI AEROSPACE. Ryan's foundational skills were developed during service in the United States Marine Corps, working as a fixed-wing aircraft power plant mechanic. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from UC Irvine.
