Richard Benton, CPA

Richard Benton, CPA has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Richard is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Earth, a position they have held since July 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Foundation Partners Group from 2011 to 2020, starting as the Chief Accounting Officer and later being promoted to Vice President of Financial Planning & Acquisitions, and then to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In these roles, Richard was responsible for leading finance and accounting activities, driving financial performance, and contributing to business planning and growth strategies. Before joining Foundation Partners Group, they worked as a Controller at the same company in 2010, and as an Assistant Controller at Keystone Group Holdings, Inc. from 2007 to 2009. Richard started their career as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte & Touche in 2005 and worked as a Cost and Staff Accountant at Knight Ridder from 2002 to 2004.

Richard Benton, CPA, completed their Bachelors of Science in Accounting at Florida State University - College of Business from 2002 to 2004. Their education focused on accounting and real estate. In 2005, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
