Sarah Riffat

Sarah Riffat is a seasoned professional in foundation relations and development, currently serving as Senior Officer at Earthjustice since September 2025. Prior experience includes roles at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) from May 2019 to August 2025, where Riffat held positions such as Director and Assistant Director of U.S. Foundation Strategy, as well as Senior Portfolio Manager. Previous experience encompasses consultancy work, development management, and resource development across various organizations including the Center for Working Families and Progressive States Network, with early career roles at the Center for Court Innovation and Demos. Riffat holds a Master of Science in Urban Affairs from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from Sarah Lawrence College.
