Senior Program Manager at EarthOptics

Jake Bents has a long work history, beginning with their role as an IT Project Management Intern at Dow Chemical in 1998. In 1999, they took on the role of IT Consultant at TekSolutions by Bents, Inc., where they implemented and supported data systems for small businesses, managed network infrastructure and system relocation projects, and developed system management practices for clients' staff. In 2001, they began working for Jake Bents Homes, where they were responsible for building science, sustainable development, remodel, design, and build. In 2002, they took on roles in real estate sales, development, and project management at Bents Design and Build, MSP Realty, Keller Williams, RE/MAX, and Invitation Homes, where they consulted home buyers, home sellers, and real estate investors on the real estate transaction process, developed residential properties for rehabilitation and new construction, and piloted the Minnesota sustainable building standards program with an urban infill single family residential build. In 2009, they became a Sales and Marketing Representative for Bent Brewstillery, Ouray Sportswear, Lake Superior Brewery, and Uncorked Beverages. Finally, in 2017, they became the Director of Program and Housing Development at Minnesota Care Counseling Services. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Program Manager at EarthOptics.

Jake Bents has attended three educational institutions. Jake completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Management/Management at Northwood University from 1998 to 2000. Jake is currently enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where they are pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainability Management. Jake is also enrolled at the University of Minnesota Duluth, but has not yet completed any degree or certification there.
