Castor Armesto

Castor Armesto has extensive work experience spanning multiple industries.

Castor currently holds the position of Deputy General Counsel at Earthrise Energy since April 2023.

Prior to this, Castor worked at Spire for almost a decade. Castor started as a Director and Associate General Counsel in March 2014 and progressed to become the Managing Director and Associate General Counsel of Spire Inc. in December 2016. In this role, they oversaw legal aspects of M&A, finance, corporate contracting, and information security/data privacy. Castor also played a key role in the acquisition of Alabama Gas and EnergySouth.

Castor also served as the General Counsel for Spire Alabama and Mississippi from January 2020 to March 2023. In addition, they held the positions of General Counsel for Spire STL Pipeline from May 2016 to December 2019 and General Counsel for Spire Marketing from January 2015 to September 2018. Castor also served as General Counsel for Spire CNG from January 2015 to September 2017.

Before joining Spire, Castor worked as a Partner at Stinson LLP from August 2006 to March 2014. Castor provided legal advice to private and public clients, primarily in the areas of corporate and M&A transactions. Castor also had multiple in-house secondments during this time, including at Koch Industries, ADM, and Bunge.

Castor started their career as an Internet Marketing Manager at The Procter & Gamble Company from June 2001 to August 2003. In this role, they led online marketing strategies for various hair care brands and managed a significant annual budget.

Following this, Armesto attended Washington University in St. Louis School of Law from 2003 to 2006, where they earned their Juris Doctor (JD) degree. In addition to their formal education, Armesto also completed the Leadership Development Program (LDP) at the Center for Creative Leadership, although the specific details of when they obtained this certification are unavailable.
