Chad Trabant is an accomplished geophysicist with extensive experience in data services and seismic analysis. Currently serving as Chief Architect at EarthScope Consortium since January 2023, Chad previously held the role of Deputy Director and Chief Architect at the Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology from February 2004 to January 2023, where significant contributions were made through various positions focused on data services. Chad also led quality control efforts as the Lead Data Control Analyst for USArray at the IRIS Data Management Center. Earlier career experience includes the role of Geophysical Technology Developer at the ORFEUS Data Center, associated with the KNMI Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute. Chad holds a Master of Science in Geophysics (seismology) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
