Mike Hansen

Mike Hansen has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Their most recent position was as the Design Lead at EarthSense, Inc., where they collaborated with engineers, manufacturers, and users to develop and execute the identity of the company. Mike oversaw the development of the newest generation of robots and worked with international manufacturers to design and procure robot components. Prior to that, Mike worked as a Freelance Designer. Before their time at EarthSense, Mike was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2015 to 2018. Earlier in their career, they held the role of Design Manager and Lead Designer at Transco Products Inc., where they were responsible for managing a team of designers and accumulating extensive experience in Solidworks. Mike also worked as the Lead Student Designer at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they collaborated on a collaborative project to design and build a Solar House, and also designed and built a coffee table in an individual project.

Mike Hansen attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2005 to 2008, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Design within the FAA field of study.
