Kathy Garvin

Kathy Garvin has a diverse work experience spanning from 1999 to the present. Kathy is currently employed at EarthSoft as the Implementation Solutions Group Manager, where they estimate, plans, and directs implementation service operations for EQuIS systems and solutions. Kathy manages a team of project managers and technical leads and collaborates with clients, SMEs, and industry consultants to implement technical solutions. Prior to this role, Kathy worked as a Senior Project Manager at EarthSoft, leading project teams in the implementation of EQuIS software.

Before joining EarthSoft, Kathy worked at SynTerra Corp. as a Quality and Resource Coordinator, supporting projects for coal-fired electric utilities clients. Kathy developed and implemented a data review process to integrate environmental datasets and led company-wide continuous improvement efforts related to data collection and analysis for regulatory reporting.

From 2013 to 2017, Kathy worked in various organizations as a Writer, Teacher, and Coach. During this time, they honed their skills in communication and leadership.

Earlier in their career, Kathy was an Environmental Data Specialist at NewFields, where they worked with clients to obtain GIS and environmental data for the Department of Defense. Kathy also provided training and support for decision support systems.

Kathy's experience includes a role at AECOM as an Environmental Scientist/Project Manager, where they managed projects related to data management. Kathy also worked as a Database Manager at the University of South Carolina and as an Analytical Chemist I at T.R. Wilbury Laboratories.

Kathy Garvin obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology and Psychology from Clemson University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. From 2000 to 2002, they pursued their Master of Earth and Environmental Resource Management degree with a specialization in International Environmental Policy at the University of South Carolina. In 2014 to 2015, Kathy Garvin attended Converse University, where they completed their Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing.

In addition to their academic achievements, Kathy Garvin has earned various certifications. Kathy holds a certification as a Certified Environmental Planner from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), which signifies their commitment to maintaining high standards of practice, ethics, and professional conduct. Kathy Garvin is also a Certified Organizational and Individual Leadership Coach from the Life Coaching Institute.
