Dan Podjed

Founder and Executive Advisor at EASA Applied Anthropology Network

Dan Podjed is a Senior Research Fellow at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, leading a research programme and serving as a principal investigator on various projects since February 2012. As the founder and executive advisor of the EASA Applied Anthropology Network, Dan facilitates discussions on the application of anthropology across Europe and organizes the annual event "Why the World Needs Anthropologists." Additionally, Dan holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Ljubljana, teaching courses on cultural anthropology while engaging in research on topics such as nature conservation and online social media. Dan has also contributed to several other organizations, including serving as a researcher for the MOBISTYLE project and a member of the Covid-19 National Expert Committee. Dan's extensive background includes roles in consultancy, project development, and scholarship, supported by a PhD in Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Ljubljana.
