Richard Smith

Richard has overall responsibility for finance, legal, and HR operations. Richard is also the lead on Information Security and oversaw the certification of the Thrive-acquired ONI under ISO27001 in 2014. He is committed to delivering a professional and efficient service to customers, suppliers, and employees alike.

Richard qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG spending a total of 12 years with the global professional services firm. In total his career in finance spans 30 years in both blue-chip and private businesses, with experience in the technology, engineering, staffing, and support services markets. Over the years, he has established a reputation as a valued sounding board and business partner with proven expertise in financial control and change management as well as being an exceptional analytical thinker.

Richard has a dual responsibility to both customers and employees. He plays an important role in ensuring employee satisfaction; something that impacts directly the customers’ experience.

When he’s not holding the purse strings for Thrive’s European Division, Richard is a keen cyclist and loves to hit the hills at the weekend.
