Rob Riches is an accomplished healthcare professional with extensive experience in emergency medical services. Currently serving as a Consultant Paramedic and Head of Clinical Practice at East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust since February 2019, Rob also holds the positions of Sector Clinical Lead and Regional Clinical Lead for Trauma and Critical Care. Concurrently, Rob has been a Critical Care Paramedic at East Anglian Air Ambulance since October 2014 and served as a Flight Paramedic at Magpas Helimedix until December 2021. Previous roles include Training Officer and Paramedic at East Of England Ambulance Trust from April 2008 to October 2014. Rob holds a Master's degree in Emergency and Resuscitation Medicine from Queen Mary University of London and a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice from the University of Cambridge. Rob's foundational education in Paramedic Science was completed at the University of East Anglia.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance is a charity providing a lifesaving service to the people of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk 365 days a year. We do not receive any regular government funding and we rely on the generosity of local people and organisations who ensure that we keep flying and in turn saving lives.To keep our two air ambulances in the air and to provide the specialist clinical equipment we carry, we need to raise over £11m each year. Together we save lives.
