Malissa Drake

Malissa Drake serves as the Assistant Principal at McKinley Senior High School since July 2021, while also working as an Educator for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System since August 2014. Additionally, Malissa held the position of Adjunct Professor at Baton Rouge Community College from August 2016 to December 2022 and briefly worked as an Account Solution Manager with Great Minds in 2022. Prior to these roles, Malissa had a notable career at Oracle America as a Senior Sales Consultant, focusing on pre-sales presentations and complex solutions bid management, and spent ten years at the State of Louisiana's Department of Insurance in various positions including Director of the Insurance Rating Commission. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Teaching and Learning with an Emphasis in Adult Learning at Grand Canyon University, Malissa holds several advanced degrees, including a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction - Mathematics from Concordia University-Portland and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, along with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Southern University.
