Annie began their career as a Construction Site Leader for Habitat for Humanity - New York City, where they supervised and instructed volunteers in various construction tasks. Annie later became a Warranty Manager for the same organization, managing post-move-in building warranty issues and overseeing interior renovations.
Following their time with Habitat for Humanity, Annie worked as an Architect In Training at Dattner Architects, where they assisted with design, construction documents, and LEED research. Annie was also actively involved in sustainable practices and operations.
Annie then joined Architecture for Humanity NY, first as the Director of Membership and later as the Managing Director. In these roles, they played a significant role in managing and growing the organization.
Annie subsequently worked as a Practicum Project Manager at Waterleaf Architecture, where they organized collaborative design projects for students from multiple universities. During this time, they focused on designing a small general healthcare clinic in Haiti.

Annie Ledbury completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture at the University of Michigan from 2003 to 2007. Annie then pursued a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree at the University of Oregon, Portland, from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, Annie obtained the certification of Registered Architect from the California Architects Board in July 2017. In September 2011, they also became a LEED AP BD+C certified by the US Green Building Council.
