East Bay Center for the Performing Arts
Alexandra Simpson is an accomplished violist currently serving as the Assistant Principal Violist for the California Symphony since July 2022 and as a Teaching Artist at the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts since September 2018. Prior experience includes a role as Content Production Assistant at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music from September 2020 to July 2022, co-founding the Home2Home Concert Series between March and September 2020, and working as a Teaching Artist with the Yale Music in Schools Initiative from September 2015 to August 2018. Alexandra holds a Master of Musical Arts from Yale University (2017-2018), an Artist Certificate in Chamber Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (2018-2021), and a Master of Music from Yale University (2015-2017), along with an educational background from the New England Conservatory of Music (2011-2015).
