JP Ross has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. JP is currently serving as the Vice President of Local Development, Electrification, and Innovation at East Bay Community Energy since July 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Director in the same department from January 2019 to July 2020. Before joining East Bay Community Energy, JP was an International Consultant from January 2018 onwards, providing assistance to various businesses in balancing resources and improving their products and services. JP also worked at Origin Energy as a Group Manager of Development from January 2015 to January 2018. JP has experience in business development and operational efficiency, as demonstrated by their role as the VP of Strategic Relationships at Sungevity Inc. from September 2007 to December 2014. Before that, they served as the Deputy Director at Vote Solar from June 2004 to September 2007, where they developed methodologies and filed testimonies related to solar energy. JP started their career as an Energy Campaigner at Greenpeace from 1999 to 2004.

JP Ross attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 1989 to 2004, where they earned a BA/BS degree in Environmental Studies/Chemistry. Additionally, from 1999 to 2001, they pursued further education at the University of California, Berkeley, obtaining an M.S. degree in Energy and Resources.
