Mikayla Newsome-Rouse is currently serving as a Human Resources Analyst and previously held the position of Human Resources Coordinator at Ava Community Energy since June 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at SF State College of Science & Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed building a literature compilation on organizational conditions impacted by the pandemic and conducting structured interviews for graduate program applicants. Earlier roles include Supplemental Instruction Lead Mentor and Resident Advisor at California State University, Chico, in addition to a Sales Associate position at PACSUN. Mikayla holds a Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from San Francisco State University, expected in 2024, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Chico, obtained in 2022.

East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), is the local public electricity supplier in Alameda County and in the City of Tracy. EBCE is providing clean, green energy at low rates to our 635,000 customers. EBCE reinvests earnings back into the community to create local green energy jobs, local programs, and clean power projects. EBCE member cities include Albany, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Stockton, Tracy, and Union City. The unincorporated areas of Alameda County (including Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, San Lorenzo, and Sunol) are also served by EBCE.
