Emre Akcakmak, CFA is the Head of Frontier Markets and Portfolio Advisor at East Capital. Emre has extensive experience as a Portfolio Manager, managing investments across global emerging and frontier markets. Emre has received awards for their work, including managing the Global Frontier Markets Fund and Turkish Fund. Emre has a strong background in research, analysis, valuation, risk management, and ESG engagement. Additionally, Emre has previous experience as an Audit Trainee at Deloitte. Emre holds a MSc. in Finance from Stockholm School of Economics and a BA in Business Administration from Boğaziçi University.
