Lisa Black-Cohen

Lisa Black-Cohen is a dedicated arts educator and administrator with extensive experience in promoting access to art for diverse student populations. Currently serving as a Docent/Registrar at Gracie Mansion Conservancy and as a Summer Elementary Activity Specialist at East Harlem Tutorial Program, Lisa also holds the position of Executive Director at The S.E.L. Art Project, where the focus is on providing art education to students with special needs. Previous roles include Lead Teacher at East Harlem Scholars Academy Charter School and Lead Art Teacher during summer sessions, where Lisa taught various artistic concepts and cultural topics. With a Master's degree in Contemporary Arts from Sotheby's Institute of Art and a background in economics from Fordham University, Lisa combines artistic passion with educational strategies to foster engagement and creativity in learning environments.
