Warren Swope

Warren Swope, PE, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Warren began their career as a Manufacturing Engineer/Supervisor at Dresser Industries where they worked from February 1993 to December 2003. Following that, they joined AGC Flat Glass North America, Inc. as a Production Engineer, working from January 2004 to July 2009.

In July 2009, Warren joined East Kentucky Power Cooperative as an Electrical Engineer, where they worked until July 2013. During this time, they gained experience in project management, specifically overseeing major capital projects within the company's four power plants. Their responsibilities included scope development, contractor selection, and project execution.

After their role as an Electrical Engineer, Warren took on the position of Supervisor in the Project Controls Group at East Kentucky Power Cooperative. Warren held this position from February 2022 to July 2023. Following that, they became the Principal Engineer in the Engineering & Construction department, starting in June 2023.

Warren Swope, PE, PMP has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, obtained from 1989 to 1992. Warren also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Applied Physics from Eastern Kentucky University, obtained from 1986 to 1989. For postgraduate studies, Swope obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Eastern Kentucky University, earned between 1993 and 1998. Warren additionally obtained the Professional Engineer certification from the Kentucky State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors in 2013, as well as the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2017.
