Theresa Roelofs

Theresa Roelofs, PHR has over 27 years of work experience in the field of human resources. Theresa served as the Vice President of Human Resources at East Lawn Cemeteries Funeral Homes Cremation Preplanning since June 2023. Previously, they were the Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager at the same company. Prior to that, they worked as a Human Resources Generalist at York Risk Services Group from January 2012 to May 2018, where they specialized in leave of absence management, Workday implementation, and policy and benefit explanation. Theresa began their career as an HR Assistant at The Save Mart Companies in August 1994, and worked there until February 2011.

Theresa Roelofs, PHR, has a diverse education history spanning both human resources and paralegal studies. In 2012, they enrolled in MTI College and pursued an AA degree in Paralegal Studies, completing their studies in 2014. Later, in 2015, Theresa attended the University of California, Davis - School of Education, where they obtained a Human Resources Certificate in 2016. Additionally, they obtained additional certifications including a Human Resources Certificate from UC Davis Extension and a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in November 2016. In October 2019, they further enhanced their HR expertise by obtaining a certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).
