Andy Rigby has extensive experience in the retail industry, starting with their role as a Store Director at United Norwest in 1990. Andy then worked as Various Store Manager roles at Food Giant from 1991 to 1995. Andy joined Asda Stores Ltd in 1995, where they held various positions such as General Store Manager, Retail Cluster Coach, General Manager - Retail Operations, and Divisional Process Coach - Retail North. In 2005, they became a Regional Operations Manager in Lancashire. Andy then moved up to become Director of Retail Operations - Food, where they introduced store activity plans and developed training programs for the Trading, Supply, and Merchandising teams. Andy worked at Dunnes Stores as Group Retail Operations (Food) from 2012 to 2014 before joining Wilko as Head Of Central Retail and later as Head Of Retail. Andy then became the Head of Central Retail Operations at Well Pharmacy from 2018 to 2020. Andy also worked as Business Development Director - UK, ROI at ScreenVend from 2020 to 2021. In 2022, they joined Alpha J Retail Consultancy Ltd as Managing Director, and in 2023, they became the Chief Operating Officer at East of England Co-op.

Andy Rigby attended Priory High School from 1976 to 1981. Andy then went on to study at Tuson College (Preston) from 1981 to 1983. However, no degree or specific field of study was mentioned for either institution.
