East Point Academy
Erika Whitlow currently serves as the Chief Information Officer at East Point Academy, where efforts focus on aligning technology with educational goals and promoting the academy's offerings to drive enrollment. Previous roles include Instructional Technology Coach, where Erika developed engaging training programs for over 50 educators, and Gifted & Talented Educator, leading a program for 60 students. Erika's earlier experience at Lexington County School District One involved designing instruction for multilingual students and coaching teachers on technology integration. Erika holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, a Master of Education in Learning and Technology, and is pursuing a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration at Western Governors University.

East Point Academy is a tuition free public charter school in West Columbia, SC. We are globally minded and provide a rich and rigorous education to the students we serve. We offer 4-year-old kindergarten through eighth grade. Personalized learning through small classes, bilingual language instruction by certified teachers, civic engagement, cultural and social awareness activities and parental involvement give students the individualized attention and extra help they need to succeed in the classroom and in life. All students benefit from a robust, innovative, student-centered instruction. As a charter school, we accept students from any school district in South Carolina. Applications are accepted year-round and can be completed either on our website or in-person at our school.
