Honor Green

Honor Green is a finance professional with extensive experience in local government finance, currently serving as Head of Finance for Children's Services & Schools at East Sussex County Council since November 2023. Prior to this role, Honor was Capital and Commercial Finance Manager at London Borough of Sutton, where responsibilities included leading capital investment programmes and providing commercial finance support for large-scale projects. Earlier positions included Principal Accountant for Children's Services at Hammersmith & Fulham Council, focusing on financial support for children's services, and Senior Accountant for Financial Investment & Strategy, where a commercially focused capital accounting function was established. Honor began a career in finance as a Trainee Accountant, while also gaining experience as an Administrator and Bookkeeper at THE SAFE, BASINGSTOKE LTD. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Ancient History from King's College London and a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from Durham University.
