Project Manager Effective Transitions Fund

Ruth Francis is an experienced project manager and researcher with a strong background in education, skills acquisition, and community development. Currently serving as Project Manager for the Effective Transitions Fund at East Sussex County Council since December 2018, Ruth leads the Steps to Success initiative, which supports persistently absent 14-16 year olds from low-income backgrounds in their post-16 transitions. Previous roles include Enterprise Coordinator at East Sussex County Council, Research Fellow at the Institute for Employment Studies, and Senior Researcher at Chrysalis Research UK, where Ruth managed a variety of research and evaluation projects for government and third sector clients. Ruth's career also encompasses business development at BexonAllomax and research roles focusing on barriers to education and employment in rural communities, alongside international project management at PRS for Music. Ruth holds a BA Hons in English Literature and History from the University of York and has studied at Université de Tours.
