Michael Burr

Michael Burr is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment banking and advisory services. Currently serving as Senior Managing Director and Head of Central Region at East West Bank since April 2018, Michael oversees key markets including Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, and Austin/San Antonio, focusing on "Bridge Banking" products for US businesses. Michael also holds the position of Advisory Director at Belle Tire since January 2013. Previously, Michael was Senior Managing Director and Group Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Fifth Third Securities from April 2014 to April 2018 and served as Executive Director & Vice Chairman at Challenger Capital Group from 2007 to April 2015, where leadership spanned investment banking services for middle market companies. Michael's earlier career at JPMorgan from 1986 to 2007 included roles such as Managing Director, where oversight of multiple regional offices and significant financial divisions was a key responsibility. Michael earned a BS in Finance with Honors from the University of Oklahoma between 1982 and 1986.
