Ana Drakic

Project Director at East-West Management Institute

Ana Drakic has extensive work experience in project management and international development. Ana worked as a Project Director for East-West Management Institute, where they managed a five-year USAID-funded program in Macedonia called Civic Engagement Project (CEP). The CEP aimed to strengthen the influence of civil society organizations and increase youth engagement in Macedonia.

Prior to this, Ana served as the Head of Section for Regional and Bilateral Cooperation at the Ministry of the Interior - Government of Montenegro. In this role, they conducted strategic planning and analysis in the field of regional and bilateral cooperation and supervised employees. Ana also participated in international initiatives and organizations, as well as overseeing the implementation of assistance projects.

Ana also worked as a National Expert for eGovernment at the Regional School for Public Administration (ReSPA) in Montenegro, where they conducted an analysis and produced a segment of the regional study "E to Open Government - Regional Comparative Analysis Report".

Ana has also held positions in USAID offices in Tanzania and Montenegro, where they served as a Senior DRG Advisor/Interim DRG Office Director and Senior Democracy and Governance Advisor, respectively. In these roles, they managed resources and projects in various areas of democratic development and provided strategic planning and design for new activities.

Additionally, Ana worked as a Project Development Officer at USAID OTI Montenegro, managing a grants program to strengthen democratic institutions, NGOs, local development, and independent media. Ana also worked as a Program Coordinator at the International Foundation for Election Systems.

Overall, Ana Drakic has demonstrated expertise in project management, strategic planning, and international development, with a focus on civil society engagement, democratic governance, and regional cooperation.

Ana Drakic completed their education at the University of Montenegro. Ana received a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Management in 2009 from the Faculty of Economics. Ana continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree in Public Administration in 2014. Prior to their university studies, Ana attended Gymnasium "Slobodan Skerovic" in Podgorica, Montenegro, but no specific degree or field of study is indicated for that period.
