Dilip Rajan

Dilip Rajan currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at East-West Seed since June 2018, where responsibilities include overseeing Global Commercial and Seed Operations and leading geographic expansions in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. Previously, Dilip held the role of Chief Strategy Officer at East-West Seed, focusing on corporate strategy, business development, and crop strategy in emerging markets. With a successful transition from pharma to farming, Dilip effectively turned around an underperforming affiliate within 18 months. Prior to joining East-West Seed, Dilip served as General Manager for Abbott, managing Nutrition Business operations in Thailand and the diabetes business in India and South Asia, following global marketing success in the US. Dilip's career began in leadership roles in sales and marketing at major pharmaceutical firms including Novartis, Sanofi, Eli Lilly, and Takeda. Educational achievements include an Executive MBA from Queen's University, an Emerging COO Program at Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Bangalore University.
