Paxton Myers

Paxton Myers is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in gaming and public service. Currently serving as the Vice Chairman of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Tribal Gaming Commission since December 2020, Paxton previously held various roles, including Chief of Staff to the Principal Chief and Director of Community & Recreation Services for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians from 2014 to 2020. Prior experience includes Vice President of Casino Marketing at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort and Chief of Staff at the National Indian Gaming Commission. Paxton began a professional journey in public policy as a Senior Policy Advisor to Congressman Dale Kildee and has consistently contributed to the growth and governance of tribal initiatives since starting as Chief of Staff to the Principal Chief at the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in 2003. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations/Marketing from Western Carolina University, supplemented by further studies at North Carolina State University.
