EASTERN BAND OF CHEROKEE INDIANS
Dike Sneed is serving his second term as a Council Representative for the Painttown Community. He is the son of Reverend Jimbo and Hazel Sneed.
Dike graduated from Cherokee High School in 1980 and began working two days after graduation at Barkley’s Textile of Cherokee. He then worked for Buncombe Construction, Ken Wilson Ford (because Fords always break down).
In 1994 he entered law enforcement as a project cop. He then moved up the ranks serving as a: patrolman, K-9 officer, investigator, assistant Chief and then he became Chief of Police, where he retired. Soon after he began serving the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians as a Tribal Council Representative for the Painttown Community.
