Ali Reza Iftekhar has over 30 years of work experience in the banking industry. Ali Reza began their career as a Probationary Officer at BCCI Overseas Ltd. in 1985. Ali Reza then worked at Banque Indosuez in the Treasury and Recovery departments from 1991 to 1993. From 1993 to 2001, Ali worked at Standard Chartered Bank in Corporate Banking and Credit Risk Management. Ali Reza then joined AB Bank as a Deputy Managing Director from 2002 to 2004, and subsequently worked at Eastern Bank Ltd. in the same role from 2004 to 2007. In 2007, they became the Managing Director and CEO of Eastern Bank Ltd., where they promoted sustainable development and transformed the organization into one of the most valuable financial brands in the country. In 2014, Ali served as the Chairman of the Association of Bankers Bangladesh.
Ali Reza Iftekhar completed their graduation in Marketing from the University of Dhaka from 1979 to 1982.
