Software Engineering Manager at Eastern Bank

Bharat Bhatia has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Bharat began their career at Tata Consultancy Services in 2005, where they worked as a System Engineer, responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications using .NET Compact Framework and Biztalk Server. Bharat then transitioned to the role of Biztalk Architect, where they continued to work on designing and developing applications.

In 2008, Bharat worked as a Market Research Interviewer at Colmar Brunton while pursuing their MBA. This was a part-time position where they conducted telephonic interviews for various market research studies.

In 2009, Bharat returned to Tata Consultancy Services as a Systems Analyst, a role they held until 2011. During this time, they also worked with Magenic as a Consultant, where they worked on various projects in the Healthcare and Management Consulting industry. Bharat was responsible for developing HIPAA compliant EDI Interfaces using BizTalk 2010, as well as fulfilling roles such as Technical/Business Analyst and .Net MVC developer.

In 2014, Bharat joined Eastern Bank as an Integration Analyst and gradually progressed to the role of Principal Integration Analyst. Bharat was involved in architecting and designing the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) based on C#.Net and Biztalk, implementing API management solutions, developing voice banking, and implementing the bank's cloud strategy using Azure and GCP. Bharat also served as a mentor and scrum master for the software engineering team. As of June 2021, Bharat holds the position of Software Engineering Manager at Eastern Bank, where they manage the software team, architects the bank's future cloud microservice architecture, optimizes efficiency, and fosters an agile culture. Bharat is also responsible for annual budgeting and forecasting.

Bharat Bhatia pursued an MBA degree in Finance from Massey University from 2008 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from YMCA Institute of Engineering, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Bharat completed their primary education at Vivekanand School from 1989 to 2001, although the degree name and field of study are unknown. In addition to their formal education, Bharat Bhatia obtained a certification in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010 as a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in May 2012.
