Khaya Zonke

Khaya Zonke has extensive experience in the finance and investment industry. From 2005 to 2006, they worked at Sanlam Investment Managers as a Client Relationship professional. This was followed by a role as an Investment Analyst at Fifth Quadrant Actuaries & Consultants from 2007 to 2009. They then joined the South African Reserve Bank as a Market Risk Senior Analyst from 2009 to 2012.

From 2012 to 2015, Khaya worked as a Market Risk Manager at PIC. They subsequently moved on to become the Head of Portfolio Management (unlisted investments) at the Public Investment Corporation from 2016 to 2023. In 2015, they also had a role as an Investor in a private capacity.

Their most recent role is as the Chief Investment Officer at the Eastern Cape Development Corporation, which began in June 2023.

Khaya Zonke has a Bachelor of Commerce Honors degree from the University of Cape Town. The field of study for this degree is not specified. Khaya also holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Development Finance from the University of Cape Town.
